Calroo is a family calendar, to do list, and messaging app – all in one.
Mission
Our mission is to help busy parents, especially working moms, be happier and more productive. We accomplish this mission by giving parents better tools to organize their family schedule and shopping lists, assign chores to kids, get more help from the spouse and other family members, and turn the whole family into a productive and coordinated team. We want to give American families 2.2 billion hours back that they spend each year on coordinating family logistics so that they can spend more quality time with each other.
Founding Story
We are parents of two active kids, and we also take care of our aging parents. Our family calendar is chock-full of pickups and dropoffs, after-school activities, volunteer events, playdates and birthday parties, doctor appointments, and family vacations.
Prior to creating Calroo, we had to use 5 different apps (plus email and texting) just to keep track of who is doing what. Still, we sometimes missed appointments, thinking that the other person was going to do it.
We created Calroo for busy families like ours. Calroo is the only app you need to keep your family organized and in-sync. It combines a calendar, a to-do list, shopping lists, and messaging into a single app. We hope you enjoy using it as much as we do!
Elena Krasnoperova
Co-founder and CEO
Elena is the co-founder and CEO of Calroo. She was previously an executive at eBay, PayPal, Zong (acquired by PayPal) and oDesk (now Upwork). She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Stanford University.
Laurent Perrodin
Co-founder & Head of Product
Laurent is the co-founder and Head of Product at Calroo. Previously, he worked at Apple for 17 years as a senior software engineer and key contributor to iMovie, iPhoto, Aperture and Final Cut Pro.
Calroo was built by a Silicon Valley power couple – Elena Krasnoperova (ex-PayPal, eBay & oDesk executive) and Laurent Perrodin (ex-senior software engineer at Apple).
